Starbucks coming to Forbes Crossing in Foxboro

FOXBORO — The days of area residents having to travel for their Starbucks fix look to be on the way out.

The conversion of Foxfield Plaza into Forbes Crossing is well under way. Once completed, Forbes Crossing will have three pad sites, a 139-room Hampton Inn and Suites By Hilton Hotel and the shopping complex which is in the process of being renovated.

On Friday, it was revealed that one of the pad sites would be filled by two establishments: a Moe’s Southwest Grill and a Starbucks.

Starbucks has been a franchise that’s long been desired in the area. The Moe’s will be the second such franchise in Foxboro, with one already at Patriot Place.

The construction of the building should begin in a week or two, said Jeff Saletin, president of Saletin Realty Associates, which is developing the property.

Saletin said that the establishments should be open between the end of April and June 1.

Three other restaurants remaining in the shopping complex are Antonia’s Italian Cuisine, Foxboro Mandarin and Bangkok Café.

Saletin said a new façade has been put on the building, and that the remaining business owners have an obligation to remodel.

“We have been very careful on not having the wrong mix here,” Saletin said. “I didn’t want competition between these restaurants.”

Edible Arrangements is also staying in the complex.
